Ardencote Manor Hotel & Country Club

This project included the extension of an existing property with extensive refurbishment of the Leisure Centre, and changing facilities; together with the design and construction supervision of a 4.5 acre man-made lake. The lake volume being approximately 45,000m³ with 24,000m³ of water being retained above the original datum. The lake lining was ‘puddle’ clay with a 350m long clay core earth dam to the south side. Design works also included assessments on wave erosion, evaporation, spillway and the design and detailing of an 8.0m span access bridge to an island within the lake.
